Fender and Timex Turn Guitar Details Into Three Watches
A Telecaster automatic, Stratocaster quartz watch and two-strap gift set mark Fender's 80th anniversary with model-specific details.

- The Fender x Timex range includes one 41mm automatic and two 37mm quartz watches inspired by Telecaster and Stratocaster guitars.
- The automatic adds a Miyota 8215, sapphire crystal, exhibition back, elapsed-time bezel and 200-metre rating to its wood-grain Telecaster design.
- Australian list prices run from A$475 to A$880, and Timex currently shows all three special editions as available through its local storefront.

Timex and Fender released three special-edition watches on 1 September 2026, marking Fender's 80th anniversary and 75 years of the Telecaster. The collection spans one 41mm automatic and two 37mm quartz models, with prices from US$269 to US$499.
The collaboration is unusually literal about its source material. Guitar finishes, headstock-shaped seconds hands, control-knob crowns and strap details are translated into watches rather than reduced to a logo on the dial. Each model also comes with a Fender guitar pick.
Timex has published full product pages for all three models, while its launch article sets out the collaboration's design. The Australian storefront lists all three in Australian dollars and shows them as available.
The range is not a ladder of the same watch in different colours. The 41mm automatic changes the movement, crystal and water resistance, while the two 37mm watches share quartz movements, acrylic crystals and 50-metre ratings. Fender's visual references and the anniversary framing hold the set together.
Fender Telecaster Automatic 41mm
The headline model is reference TW6A14600, a 41mm automatic priced at US$499. Its brushed stainless-steel case measures 46.5mm lug to lug and 14mm thick, with a two-tone unidirectional ratcheting top ring for elapsed-time tracking.
A brown butterscotch-blonde wood-grain dial references the Telecaster finish. The second hand is shaped after a Telecaster headstock, the crown carries Fender branding and a date sits at 3 o'clock. Luminous hands and applied markers sit under a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
Timex identifies the movement as a self-winding Miyota 8215. It is visible through an exhibition caseback decorated for the Telecaster's 75th anniversary. Water resistance is rated to 200 metres, making this the most capable model in the collection on paper.
The supplied black leather slip-through strap comes from S.B. Foot Tanning Co. and fits 20mm lugs. At 95.64 grams, the automatic has more physical presence than either quartz model, which suits the dive-watch-like bezel and stronger case proportions.

Sapphire and 200-metre resistance separate the automatic technically as well as mechanically. It is the model most capable of standing alone after the anniversary context fades, even though the headstock hand and wood-grain dial keep the Fender link unmistakable.
Fender Stratocaster 37mm
Reference TW6A14700 takes the brighter route. Its 37mm polished stainless-steel case surrounds an iridescent mother-of-pearl dial inspired by a Pearloid pickguard. A Stratocaster headstock forms the seconds hand, while the crown is modelled after a guitar tone knob.
The case measures 42.5mm lug to lug and 12mm thick. A domed acrylic crystal reinforces the vintage character, and the watch uses a quartz analogue movement. Timex lists the battery as an SR626SW and the total weight as 52.69 grams.
A brown 20mm leather strap from S.B. Foot Tanning Co. uses quick-release spring bars. Luminous hands and applied markers improve low-light visibility, while the solid back is engraved with Fender branding. The US price is US$269.
Timex rates the Stratocaster model to 50 metres. That is suitable for light everyday exposure, but it is a different proposition from the automatic's 200-metre rating.
The 50-metre figure also matches the Telecaster gift-set watch. Both 37mm references use a 12mm-thick case, quartz analogue movement and domed acrylic crystal, leaving their dial and strap treatments to do most of the separating.
Telecaster 37mm gift set
The US$299 gift set uses another 37mm quartz watch, this time with an ice-blue dial embossed with a Telecaster silhouette. Its seconds hand again takes the form of a Telecaster headstock, and the crown carries the Fender mark.
A domed acrylic crystal covers the dial, and the caseback is engraved for the Telecaster's 75th anniversary. The 12mm-thick quartz watch is rated to 50 metres. It arrives on black leather with blue stitching, plus a second fabric strap designed to resemble a Fender guitar strap.
The gift set is the most direct piece of fan merchandise in the group. Its extra strap and embossed guitar dial put the collaboration ahead of the underlying watch specification, while the automatic and mother-of-pearl models have stronger identities outside the anniversary context.
It also occupies the middle price position despite using quartz. The US$30 or A$55 difference over the Stratocaster model accompanies the second strap and Telecaster-specific presentation; Timex does not assign that premium to any one component.
Pricing and availability
Timex lists the Fender x Timex Automatic TW6A14600 at US$499 or A$880, the Stratocaster-inspired TW6A14700 at US$269 or A$475, and the Telecaster gift set TWG068900 at US$299 or A$530. All three appear as new special editions and are currently available through Timex's Australian storefront.
The range succeeds by offering three distinct levels of commitment. The 41mm automatic is a substantial mechanical watch with 200-metre resistance, the mother-of-pearl 37mm is the most wearable visual reference, and the gift set leans fully into Telecaster collecting.
