NOMOS maps five exchanges onto its Club Worldtimer

The Handelsblatt edition marks the newspaper's 80th anniversary with orange market codes and a revised home-time display.

Five city codes on a world-time ring have been replaced by the initials of financial exchanges, turning a familiar travel complication towards the markets they connect. Time and Watches reported the release on 31 August 2026, identifying it as a celebration of the German business newspaper Handelsblatt's 80th anniversary. The collaboration is reference 792.S1, the NOMOS Club Sport neomatik Worldtimer Edition Handelsblatt.

Five exchange codes in Handelsblatt orange

NYSE replaces New York, LSE represents London, FWB marks Frankfurt, HKEX stands for Hong Kong and TSE identifies Tokyo. NOMOS prints all five abbreviations in Handelsblatt's warm orange on the city ring, using each exchange as the code for its corresponding time zone. A matching orange marker above 12 o'clock identifies the selected zone, while an orange scale around the dial perimeter assists with the differences between locations. The codes still occupy functional positions in the world-time display, so each abbreviation points to a geographical zone rather than acting as a detached anniversary emblem.

The galvanised dial continues the anniversary treatment on its 24-hour second-time display at three o'clock. That subdial uses six numerals rather than twelve, a detail NOMOS otherwise associates with limited Club Worldtimer editions. Its single hand indicates a second time across the full day. Orange separates the day and night phases, and a fine dividing line refers to the visual structure of a newspaper page. Grey Super-LumiNova fills the hour numerals and markers, while the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands carry white luminous inlays. Those luminous elements glow blue in darkness.

A slim Club Sport case and integrated world-time calibre

The three-part stainless-steel case measures 40mm across, 9.9mm high and 48mm from lug to lug. A domed sapphire crystal has anti-reflective treatment on both sides, and a sapphire case back exposes the movement. Water resistance is rated to 10 ATM when the screw-down crown is secured. A red warning ring remains visible until the crown is fully closed, giving the wearer a direct indication of its position before the watch enters water. Handelsblatt's logo is engraved on the crown, adding the newspaper's name outside the dial treatment.

Local-zone selection uses the pusher above the crown. NOMOS instructs the wearer to press it until the city representing the required second zone reaches 12 o'clock. A recessed corrector at eight o'clock then synchronises the main dial with the 24-hour display during setup, using the supplied setting pin. After the crown is unscrewed and pulled to its first position, the main time can be set while the wearer checks whether the second zone is in its day or night phase. Continuing to turn the crown brings the 24-hour display to the required current time.

NOMOS's automatic DUW 3202 measures 31mm across and 4.8mm high, contains 37 jewels and provides up to 42 hours of power reserve. It is the third movement in the brand's neomatik series. The manufacture integrates the world-time complication into the gear train, helping the complete watch remain below 10mm thick. A gold globe decorates the winding rotor and can be seen through the sapphire back. The movement combines the main time, small seconds, selectable city ring and 24-hour second-time display in one calibre, with automatic winding for daily use.

The bracelet version costs A$8,450 on NOMOS's Australian storefront and US$5,580 on its American store. Selecting the woven dark-grey textile strap reduces the Australian price by A$340 or the American price by US$230. The Club Sport steel bracelet uses alternating finely satin-finished and highly polished links, a 20mm lug width and quick-change spring bars. Its length can be adjusted to the wrist, and the quick-change system allows removal without conventional spring-bar tools. NOMOS supplies a black leather case intended to protect the watch in transit and fit inside luggage. The exact reference currently carries a delivery time of about two months.

Time and Watches describes the case back as individually serialled, while NOMOS does not publish a fixed production count for the edition. Its anniversary identity instead rests on the exchange codes, newspaper-derived graphics and Handelsblatt engraving. The watch is offered through the NOMOS online store and Handelsblatt, placing the collaboration with both participating organisations. The outer ring locates the selected zone, the central hands show the main time, the three o'clock subdial carries the second time across 24 hours and the lower subdial records running seconds. That hierarchy separates the four displays without adding another mechanism for the anniversary treatment. The steel case, 10 ATM rating and integrated DUW 3202 remain the functional foundation. In that respect, the edition changes how the world-time information is labelled and coloured without replacing the existing 40mm Club Sport format, travel-oriented controls or automatic movement.
