Trilobe gives the Trente-Deux a burgundy vintage

The €21,000 Château Trente-Deux pairs a red rotating-ring dial with integrated steel, while its first 100 examples receive engraved casebacks and wine.

Trilobe has introduced the Château Trente-Deux, a burgundy-dial version of its Paris-made Trente-Deux watch, announced on 2 September 2026. The steel watch keeps the collection's rotating-ring display and integrated bracelet, then links the first 100 examples to a selected French grand cru and an engraved caseback.

The reference is 3201BDX. It is not capped at 100 pieces overall: Trilobe says the first 100 watches will have an engraved caseback and be supplied with the selected wine. That distinction gives the first series its own detail without turning the entire reference into a limited edition.

Burgundy changes the Trente-Deux's character

The dial uses a deep red tone with a lacquered sunburst finish. Hours, minutes and seconds are shown by rotating rings moving past fixed indicators, so there are no conventional central hands. The display is Trilobe's established alternative to the familiar arrangement of hands circling a fixed scale.

The small seconds area has its own mix of finishing, combining circular graining with a Clous de Paris guilloché pattern. A circular flange is finished with both satin brushing and mirror polishing. These details break up the red surface while preserving a single-colour identity across the main dial and rings.

The case is assembled from seven parts. Its fluted bezel alternates mirror-polished edges with bead-blasted recesses, and the other surfaces combine polished, satin-brushed and bead-blasted treatments. The architecture gives the 39.5mm watch more texture than its basic round outline suggests.

X-Nihilo moves the three rings

Trilobe's automatic X-Nihilo calibre drives the display. The movement measures 35.2mm across and 7mm thick, contains 218 components and runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4Hz. It has 34 functional jewels and a 42-hour power reserve.

Because the hours, minutes and seconds are carried on rings, the movement has to turn the display elements themselves. All three indications sit on the same plane as the dial and are read against fixed pointers. The seconds ring is the smallest and fastest of the three, while the outer scales handle minutes and hours.

The calibre is visible through an anti-reflective sapphire caseback. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal also protects the front. Trilobe designs, manufactures, decorates and assembles the Trente-Deux collection at its Paris manufacture, an approach that is central to the way the brand positions this line.

The view from the rear gives the X-Nihilo equal billing with the unusual dial. Its large oscillating mass curves around the movement, leaving the balance and part of the gear train exposed. The 42-hour reserve is shorter than a full weekend, so regular wear or rewinding will keep the display moving.

Integrated steel from case to clasp

The 316L stainless-steel case measures 39.5mm in diameter, 10.15mm thick and 46.18mm from lug to lug. Water resistance is tested to 5 bar, approximately 50 metres. The fluted push-button crown continues the alternating surface treatment used around the case and bezel.

An integrated 316L steel bracelet is standard. Its links are satin brushed and chamfered, with mirror-polished intermediate links, and it closes with a double-folding steel clasp. Trilobe says a rubber strap is available only as an additional accessory for the steel model; the watch is delivered on the bracelet.

Those proportions place the Château Trente-Deux in a wearable middle ground. A sub-40mm diameter and 46.18mm span should suit a broad range of wrists, while the integrated bracelet and seven-part case provide the visual weight expected from this design.

An engraved first series with a wine pairing

The name connects the watch to the number used for Trilobe's Paris workshop and the idea of a vintage. For the first 100 examples, the caseback is engraved and the watch comes with a grand cru selected by the brand. The burgundy colour is the clearest visual part of that wine association.

This could easily have become a novelty built only around packaging. The watch itself carries the theme through the lacquered red dial, contrasting finishes and dedicated reference. Trilobe applies the engraved caseback and wine pairing to the first 100 pieces.

The stated delivery lead time is six months. The first 100 watches will have engraved casebacks and be accompanied by the selected grand cru. Trilobe does not state that the reference is limited to those 100 pieces.
