- Frederique Constant's 2026 Elements Collection combines a tourbillon, moonphase date and perpetual calendar in 88 numbered three-watch sets.
- Heliotrope, black onyx and turquoise provide distinct natural-stone dials, while each watch in a box shares the same individual number.
- The brand offers enquiries for the set and an online allocation for number 01; it does not publish a list price or Australian allocation.

One stone dial can be striking; three quite different stones in a numbered box ask a harder question about taste. The black of onyx, the flecked green and red of heliotrope, and the powdery blue of turquoise do not form a neat matching set. Frederique Constant has paired each with a different Manufacture complication in The Elements Collection, 2026 Edition, a set of three watches rather than three separate colour choices.
Eighty-eight boxes, three matching numbers
Frederique Constant says it will make 88 numbered sets. Each box contains a Classic Tourbillon Manufacture, a Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture and a Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture, all carrying the same individual set number. The brand connects 88 to its founding year. That does not make the three watches interchangeable: the distinction between a tourbillon, a moonphase date and a perpetual calendar is functional as well as decorative. Their linked numbers are the thread holding together what would otherwise be three very different purchases. That shared numbering makes the collection an object in its own right: choosing one dial or complication without the other two is not the purchase described on the official set page.
The three cases are stainless steel with sapphire backs, but the watches do not share one size. The set page gives the tourbillon as 39mm, although the individual model specification table lists 40mm; both calendar watches are listed as 40mm. The maker should clarify that discrepancy before anyone relies on the tourbillon measurement for fit. The maker does not give case thickness, water resistance or lug-to-lug dimensions on the set page, so none can be inferred from photographs.
Heliotrope gives the tourbillon room
The Classic Tourbillon Manufacture puts an FC-980 tourbillon at six o'clock. Frederique Constant describes the heliotrope dial as a natural stone with black, green and red inclusions. Unlike a printed pattern, that mineral variation is part of the point: the eye has to move between the stone and the exposed mechanism rather than finding a single flat field of colour. The tourbillon is individually numbered and engraved, according to the maker.
A bridge with hand-polished chamfers frames the cage, with small seconds crossing it. The watch sits on a brown alligator strap. That is a more restrained pairing than a matching green or red band would have been, and it keeps the irregular stone surface as the centre of attention. There is no need to pretend this is a subtle watch, but the case size gives the dial a defined boundary.
Onyx brings the moonphase into focus
The 40mm Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture takes the opposite approach to texture. Its black onyx dial is a continuous dark surface, with polished applied hour markers and three central hands above it. Date and moon phase meet in one subdial at six o'clock, set against a glossy black, star-dusted background. Look from the marker ring toward that lower subdial and the design becomes a study in how much information can remain legible against black.

Inside is the Manufacture FC-716, for which Frederique Constant states a 72-hour power reserve. The watch comes on a black alligator strap. Three days of running time is useful here chiefly because the owner need not immediately reset both the date and the moon phase after a short spell off the wrist; it does not turn the display into a perpetual calendar. The onyx piece remains the set's clearest visual pause between two busier companions.
Turquoise carries the full calendar
The Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture also uses a 40mm steel case, but its light turquoise dial carries more work. Frederique Constant lists hours, minutes, day, date, month, leap year and moon phase among its indications. The FC-776 calibre has a stated three-day, or 72-hour, reserve. A sapphire back shows the movement's perlage and Côtes de Genève decoration; from the front, the watch has to balance the mineral's natural texture with several separate readings.
A navy blue alligator strap gives the turquoise a darker frame. I think this is the set's most demanding watch: the colour catches attention first, but a perpetual calendar asks its owner to learn a dial over time. That tension is a good reason to pair it with the quieter onyx moonphase, even if the box remains an unusual way to buy both.

The Elements Collection 2026 pricing and availability
Frederique Constant offers The Elements Collection, 2026 Edition as 88 numbered three-watch sets. Its official set page invites an information request rather than stating a list price or an Australian allocation. The brand says set number 01 is offered separately for online sale on a first-come, first-served basis. No currency price is published on the set page, so the cost should be confirmed directly with the brand before treating the set as an available purchase.
